The third official entry in the Yakuza franchise (following up on PlayStation 3 after the Edo era prequel Yakuza: Kenzan!) Yakuza 3 continues the storyline following the events of Yakuza 2. The game returns to Kamiyacho, the setting of the original and the primary setting of the sequel, and features Kazuma Kiryu in the main character role once again.

The game returns to Kamiyacho, the setting of the original and the primary setting of the sequel, and features Kazuma Kiryu in the main character role once again.

Yakuza 2 added a new location to the game world, a version of Kamiyacho located in the Osaka area. In Yakuza 3, Okinawa has that role. Yakuza 3 also continues with series traditions of making use of famous actors for its voice staff and also tapping into real world brands for in-game signs and shops. The game uses the impressive Yakuza: Kenzan! engine to create a lifelike representation of the hustle and bustle of urban Japan.

A key feature of the Yakuza 4 is the ability to control one of four characters to choose from (all the earlier parts was the only main character). Plot Yakuza, as the name implies, focuses on the lives of Japanese gangsters. However, the players the opportunity to become acquainted with many other features of Japanese culture.


A place where events unfold Yakuza 4, will be the city streets Kamurocho, known to us by the previous part, though, the developers have expanded and deepened the location. For example, you can now go down the drain, to visit the underground parking, walk to new shopping centers or climb on the roofs of buildings. Recall that the levels are created with an eye to modern Japan, in particular, the authors took as a basis for actually existing district Kamiyacho, which is located in Tokyo.


It's no secret that the main highlight of the gameplay of all parts of Yakuza are spectacular fights. And here the authors are not lazy by giving each of the four heroes with its unique style of fighting. For example, Shun is very agile and loves to attack strikes the legs. Teyga relies on its impressive weight and the muscles that allow it to easily crack down on enemies. In Masayoshi are very technically techniques of evasion and counterattack, ending with the beating of the enemy. But the legendary Kazuma demonstrate his trademark street fighting style.

Yakuza hunter Asami returns to visit her old master Inokuma who runs a small bar but finds out that he’s being squeezed by the Shoryu Group who wants to take over the area. Already some residents have paid the price for not leaving when requested. Inokuma gives Asami a place to stay with Miki who’s a retired Yakuza Hunter. She’s a single mother with a young baby. During one incident between the Shoryu Group and Inokuma, Asami butts in and takes out 3 of their personnel. The leader of the group is none too pleased with this and orders his 2nd in command to assign deadly female killer Akira to sort the problem out. A trap is laid for Asami and whilst she despatches the normal yakuza people with ease, it’s not so simple when she squares off against Akira who has mastered the same skills as herself.....
