Given SAP's dominance in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) market, many companies and their managers encounter SAP AG applications in some form or another. Many of these organizations have recognized the value of utilizing Activity-Based Costing/Management concepts to perform more accurate cost assignments or drive performance initiatives. Managers are then faced with trying to determine how Activity-Based Costing can be incorporated into the SAP environment. The 123s of ABC in SAP is the first book of its kind designed to help business managers understand the capabilities of the SAP R/3 business application to support Activity-Based Costing, Management

Pluralsight - Agile Estimation
English | WMV | 1024x768 | VC-1 20.9 Kbps 15.000 fps | WMA 128 Kbps 44.1 khz | 2 channels | 126 MB

We're agile, so we don't have to estimate and have no deadlines, right? Wrong! This course will dive into the problem with estimation in projects today and then a complete overview of the concept of agile estimation and the notion of re-estimation.

Statistical Signal Processing: Frequency Estimation

Statistical Signal Processing: Frequency Estimation
by Debasis Kundu, Swagata Nandi
English | 2012 | ISBN: 8132206274 | 149 pages | PDF | 1.15 MB

Signal processing may broadly be considered to involve the recovery of information from physical observations. The received signal is usually disturbed by thermal, electrical, atmospheric or intentional interferences. Due to the random nature of the signal, statistical techniques play an important role in analyzing the signal. Statistics is also used in the formulation of the appropriate models to describe the behavior of the system, the development of appropriate techniques for estimation of model parameters and the assessment of the model performances. Statistical signal processing basically refers to the analysis of random signals using appropriate statistical techniques.

Applied Parameter Estimation for Chemical Engineers
Applied Parameter Estimation for Chemical Engineers
225 pages | Aug 31 2010 |ISBN: 082479561X| PDF | 15.5 Mb

Provides students and practicing engineers with tools that can be used for the solution of parameter estimation problems. The emphasis is on chemical engineering applications and on systems described by nonlinear algebraic and ordinary differential equations. The Gauss- Newton method is featured, but shortcut methods are also presented. Englezos (University of British Columbia) and Kalogerakis (Technical University of Crete) describe how to formulate and solve parameter estimation problems, compute the statistical properties of the parameters, perform model adequacy tests, and design experiments for parameter estimation or model discrimination. The CD-ROM contains Fortran programs for solving estimation problems.

R. R. Bahadur's Lectures on the Theory of Estimation

2002 | 96 | ISBN: 0940600536 | DJVU | 2 Mb

In the Winter Quarter of the academic year 1984-1985, Raj Bahadur gave a series of lectures on estimation theory at the University of Chicago. The role of statistical theory in Chicago's graduate curriculum has always varied according to faculty interests, but the hard and detailed examination of the classical theory of estimation was in those years Raj's province, to be treated in a special topics course when his time and the students' interests so dictated. Winter 1985 was one of those times. In ten weeks, Raj covered what most mathematical statisticians would agree should be standard topics in a course on parametric estimation: Bayes estimates, unbiased estimation, Fisher information, Cramer-Rao bounds, and the theory of maximum likelihood estimation. As a seasoned teacher, Raj knew that mathematical prerequisites could not be taken entirely for granted, that even students who had fulfilled them would benefit from a refresher, and accordingly he began with a review of the geometry of L function spaces. ...
