Carbon Coder - is a universal software encoder, which facilitates the transfer of media between different applications in the process of editing, broadcasting and archiving of the data laid out in the Internet, etc. Supporting work with most common formats (currently more than 40), Carbon Coder is constantly updated in line with the new formats. Carbon Coder can run as a standalone application or as part of a multiprocessor, the automated rendering farm controlled by Carbon Server. Carbon Coder also supports the conversion of SD / HD and PAL / NTSC, logo insertion, color space conversion, color correction, extraction of subtitles and many other features. You will be able to work with Carbon Coder, using either the user interface, or API interface based on XML, supplied with the product. To control Carbon Coder and Carbon Server uses the same API interface. Carbon Coder can be used in small studios, as well as in projects at the corporate level.

Carbon Chemistry (Essential Chemistry)

Chelsea House Publications | 2008 | ISBN: 0791097080 | 117 pages | PDF | 15 MB

The versatility of carbon is what makes this element so much a part of human life. All life on Earth is carbon-based, and humans cannot live without carbon. Most of the energy humans use to power homes and cars comes from carbon combustion. As a result of these multiple, widespread uses of carbon, humans have accidentally disrupted the Earth's balance of carbon - with largely unknown future consequences. Now, science looks to the chemistry of carbon to set the balance straight. This title describes how carbon is an essential element for life on Earth, how it is found in everyday life, and what is being done to offset the increased carbon emissions modern life has caused.

Carbon and Its Domestication

2006 | 334 | ISBN: 1402039565 , 1402039573 | PDF | 3 Mb

Carbon is a vital component of environmental and economic systems. Its unique chemistry makes it important biologically, geologically, and climatically. Its domestication in time and space has many manifestations, including the control of fire, development of agriculture, fossil-fuel use and biotechnology. All have exacted an environmental price. Many agencies exist to manage carbon through conservation, etc. Carbon management is now a highly charged international political issue in which energy provision is a primary factor. This cross-disciplinary text focuses on the pivotal role of carbon in society and in the environment....

The Carbon Cycle

2000 | 310 | ISBN: 0521583373 | DJVU | 4 Mb

0521018625Reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions is imperative to stabilizing our future climate. Our ability to reduce these emissions combined with an understanding of how much fossil-fuel-derived CO2 the oceans and plants can absorb is central to mitigating climate change. In The Carbon Cycle, leading scientists examine how atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations have changed in the past and how this may affect the concentrations in the future. They look at the carbon budget and the "missing sink" for carbon dioxide. They offer approaches to modeling the carbon cycle, providing mathematical tools for predicting future levels of carbon dioxide. This comprehensive text incorporates findings from the recent IPCC reports. New insights, and a convergence of ideas and views across several disciplines make this book an important contribution to the global change literature. ...

Publisher: †Elsevier Science †1999 | †199 Pages | ISBN: 0080426964 | PDF | 3 MB
Carbon Nanotubes (CNT) is the material lying between fullerenes and graphite as a new member of carbon allotropes. The study of CNT has gradually become more and more independent from that of fullerenes. As a novel carbon material, CNTs will be far more useful and important than fullerenes from a practical point of view, in that they will be directly related to an ample field of nanotechnology.†
